According to DiversityInc, Sempra is the best employer for diversity among U.S. utilities

Sempra has been recognized as the most diverse utility firm in the United States, topping its competitors to claim the top spot on DiversityInc‘s list of the Top Utilities for 2023. Sempra was named a Top Regional Employer and Top Company for Philanthropy by DiversityInc. The company is known as an industry leader for its dedication to fostering an inclusive and high-performance culture and for advancing initiatives that support historically underrepresented communities. Human capital, leadership responsibility, talent development, worker practices, supplier diversity, and charity are the six main components of workplace fairness that are used to determine rankings.

According to Mitch Mitchell, senior vice president of diversity and community relations at Sempra, “For 25 years, our high-performance culture has brought together employees from different backgrounds, perspectives, and ideas with a shared goal of delivering energy with purpose. In our opinion, the Sempra family of enterprises is better able to serve its customers and the communities in which it operates thanks to the diversity of its personnel, which also benefits our shareholders and other stakeholders.”

From the Data
